Book Release That Started It All

Two friends Mila and Anita were catching up over coffee in the fall of 2024, wishing there could be a way to celebrate Anita's latest book release of a collection of short stories. In looking for a way to open up the audience to a wider selection of friends in the creative arts, they decided to host a party at a local cafe. What started in December 2024 with over 60 people celebrating How We Know Our Time Travellers has grown into a regular gathering of friends, and friends of friends in the creative arts.

This is ONCE Bay Area, a creative arts social club that's just getting started. Inspired by the live music and culinary adventures of legendary rock photographer JJ Gonson with her ONCE Somerville events in the Boston metro area, ONCE means One Night Creative Experience.
